The History of our Company
Throughout the communities we serve, Pinnacle Bank is known for our strength, stability, service and values. We’re a family-owned bank holding company that traces our history back to 1938 in Palmer, Nebraska. During the Great Depression, Palmer, a town of 420 people, needed a bank.
A group of businessmen and farmers, including brothers George and Tom Dinsdale, opened the State Bank of Palmer – the forerunner of our current Dinsdale family banking organization.[soliloquy slug=”pinnacle-bank-2″] Our bank group began to grow in 1958, when Roy and Jack, George’s sons, purchased a second bank. Soon the third generation of Dinsdales joined in the banking business. Sid Dinsdale, with the bank since 1978, now serves as chairman of Pinnacle Bancorp. Other family members also have key roles, including Lynn Marchese, in marketing and purchasing. Chris Dinsdale, Tom Dinsdale and Jane Rogers all serve on several bank boards. The fourth generation is also involved in the company.

Over the years Pinnacle Bank has grown its community banking network with locations across eight states. Even as we grow, the relationships we have with our customers and within our communities are what continue to make the difference.
